In the last few days I have read six different tellings of Cleopatra VII and her family.
1) I am writing an alternative history -- what if Octavian had put Alexander Helios and Cleopatra Selene on the thrones of Egypt with him as Regent?
2) I am also writing a pirate story... where Julius Caesar and Cleopatra had a second child, a daughter. She was hidden in secret to be raised by Cleopatra's good friend, pirate Apollodorus, as his daughter. She finds out who she is and after saving her elder brother's life, they set out to retrieve their younger siblings from the clutches of Rome.
